Ceke helps you care for your plants. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We aim to collect as little as possible.
We use your information to provide plant care reminders, identify plants you photograph, power our AI plant assistant, show local weather-based care tips, and let you share a care plan with caregivers. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.
When you identify a plant or use the AI assistant, the relevant photo and text are sent to our AI provider, Google (Gemini), to return likely species, care advice, and diagnoses. Google processes the request to generate a response; it does not use it to train its models or for advertising. Photos are sent only when you choose to add or scan one.
To tailor care to local conditions (e.g. watering more during a heat wave), we determine your approximate area at the city level from your device's IP address, via our server, and fetch a public weather forecast for it. You can set or change a Home location in your profile so alerts stay tied to where your plants are. We do not access precise or GPS location.
Your data is stored securely with our hosting provider (Supabase). Access is protected so that only you — and caregivers you explicitly invite — can see the relevant plants and tasks.
When you create a caregiver link, the people you share it with can view only the plants and tasks you selected, for the period you choose, and can mark tasks as done. You can revoke access at any time.
You can edit your display name, and request deletion of your account at any time. Deleting your account permanently removes your plants, tasks, and care history.
